In April, UNAMA reported allegations of torture and ill-treatment of children detained on security related charges and noted 38 credible accounts of 85 children interviewed of being subjected to torture or ill-treatment while in custody of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces. 28), UNAMA verified 119 conflict-related incidents targeting health services or health care workers, and documented 23 incidents of military occupation of hospitals in 2016.
